Weatherproof case design, infrared illuminated night vision, and audio monitoring are included in the Security Labs SLC-155 color bullet camera. A 420 line resolution imager is combined with a non-reflective glass lens to generate a crisp and clear image. The IR LEDs and CCD imager are optically isolated as each component is concentrically housed in its own compartment that keeps IR reflection and halo effect to a minimum. Typical IR range produces facial recognition at 10 feet and general surveillance in excess of 30 feet. Accurate daylight color reproduction is ensured by the Super HAD CCD imager. "White" colored grass, trees, and other similar vegetation is not an issue as reproduced by lower end CMOS/IR LED type cameras. The included video/power cable uses locking BNC video connectors with gold plated pins that are found on all professional cameras, and reduce high frequency/resolution loss and video noise. Locating a power source near the camera is not necessary as all power and video connections are done at the location of the DVR or monitor. Care should be taken when mounting the camera outdoors to place it under an awning, eave, or soffit to protect the camera's microphone aperture from direct rain. Monitoring or recording audio can be helpful around the home or in a lab situation. What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase.
