The Sanyo PLC-HF15000L 2K Quadrive Digital Multimedia Projector is a professional projector designed for use in mid to large venues, as well as staging and digital signage markets. Combining 15,000 lumens, 3000:1 contrast ratio and widescreen 2K digital cinema performance, this projector stands out above the crowd. It offers outstanding brightness and image quality as well as built-in networking and several other exceptional features.

This ultra high brightness is delivered through quad 380W UHP bulbs, which are hotswappable so as not to interrupt system functionality. They also offer versatility, as they can be set for one, two or four to adjust the amount of brightness projected. Along with its support for resolutions up to 2K (2,048 horizontal pixels), this projector offers exceptional picture imaging capabilities.

The PLC-HF15000L features Sanyo's QuaDrive Optical Engine for color accuracy with a wide color gamut. The amount of yellow light is controlled with this technology, allowing optimum levels of brightness and color. It has a multi-scan system to conform to almost all computer output signals, supporting resolution up to WUXGA. It is compatible with NTSC (the North American TV standard), as well as PAL and SECAM for additional flexibility.

An active maintenance feature automatically cleans the projector's air filter when intake air volume is low, with recommended replacement being after about 12,000 hours of use. This projector also features image blending, color matching, horizontal and vertical keystone correction, a widescreen aspect ratio, and a maximum image size of 600" (1524 cm). The PLC-HF15000L offers a seamless blend of portability, durability and ease of use along with built-in multimedia features.

Additionally, it features several input and control options. Video input ports are HDMI v1.3, DVI-D, 15-pin mini D-sub, S-video, and 5-BNC. Also included is an RJ-45 LAN port for control, USB, 9-pin D-sub, and interface board slots.

Note! Projector lens and optional smoke filter are sold separately. This unit does not have built-in speakers.

Ultra High Brightness
The PLC-HF15000L features a massive 15,000 lumens output with the use of four 380W UHP lamps. Additionally, you can adjust brightness by toggling between the use of one, two or four lamps depending on the brightness and size of the installation venue or room.

2K Cinema Performance
With support for widescreen (17:9) 2K resolution (2048 x 1080 pixels), this projector is capable of exceptional image quality. This means full HD 1080p source material (1920 x 1080) can be displayed without any compression.

Quadrive Optical Engine
This proprietary engine regulates the yellow light in the image to output higher luminosity with improved color accuracy and clarity. The Quadrive optical engine is an advanced version of the conventional 3LCD system, featuring an additional Color Control Device. By controlling the amount of yellow light, the Color Control Device increases the level of color purity, allowing for high levels of brightness and color.

Durable Inorganic Optical System
The Durable Inorganic Optical System (D.I.O.S.) is implemented for high contrast and reliability, featuring a 3000:1 contrast ratio.

The PLC-HF15000L can accept and project SDTV (standard definition) and EDTV (enhanced definition) signals NTSC, NTSC4.43, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, PAL60, SECAM, 480i, 576i, 480p and 576p. It can also project in 720p, 1080i and 1080p HD, with these signals remaining in digital form from the source to the projector on account of the HDMI v1.3 port.

HDMI v1.3
HDMI v1.3 compatible sources, cables and projectors can display over 1 billion colors, which is of course way more than the human eye can discern. However, since it can produce so many additional colors, images appear smoother. Also, it eliminates jagginess which is sometimes present in the dark parts of high contrast scenes.

Active Maintenance Cleaner
The Active Maintenance Cleaner (AMC) system employs a three-layer filter and brush to repel dust more efficiently. Each filter is designed to keep out dust of a different size. The mesh filter is designed to remove large particles, and the electrostatic honeycomb filter and electrostatic pleated filter capture medium and small particles. Since it is auto cleaning, it sweeps the surface at certain time intervals or when a clog is detected. This filter has an estimated life of up to 12,000 hours.

Hotswap Lamps
This unit features support for hotswapping your lamp, meaning that if one of the 380W UHP lamps dies and needs to be replaced, you can do this while the unit is in use without any image blackouts or system shutdowns. While some projectors need to be restarted for a bulb replacement, that's not necessary with this projector.

Administration Network Control
With a Cat5 network connection, you can easily control the projector or a group of projectors using the RS232 port on the rear panel. Additionally, a mechanical shutter system allows you to shut off light transmission quickly and easily.

Image Adjustments
The PLC-HF15000L has several adjustment features that integrate well for use with 2 or more projectors. Constant Brightness Output Control, Edge Blending for boundary-less images with multi-image displays and a Color Matching function improves variations in color reproduction when using with additional projector(s).

Picture in Picture Capability
If several images are required, the PLC-HF15000L can display two images in either picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes.

Power Lens Shift
The projection lens (sold separately) can be moved up, down, right and left with the motor-driven lens shift function. This function makes it easy to provide projected image where you want. Zoom and focus can also be adjusted with a motor-driven operation.

Shutter Function
With this function, the projector can offer complete blackness if the projected image is not needed while maintaining the projector powered on. The Shutter management function allows you to set the timer, preventing leaving the projector on with the shutter closed for extended periods of time.

Multiple Lens Compatibility
While the PLC-HF15000L doesn't come with a lens, 11 lens options are available in several focal lengths to fit any projector to screen distance. A power zoom with focus control can be operated with the system remote, and a motorized lens shift operates horizontally and vertically for optimum flexibility.

Optional Smoke Filter
The Sanyo POA-FIL160 smoke resistant filter blocks particles of fine smoke (sold separately). Along with this additional filter, the projector can be installed in a wider variety of applications where cigarette smoking is allowed, or to simply guard against additional fine airborn particles that could interfere with system operation.

Security Function
The security function ensures security of the projector. With the key lock function, you can lock the operation on the side control or remote control. PIN code lock function prevents unauthorized use of the projector.

Multiple Menu Languages
Wherever you are in the world, this projector more than likely speaks your language. It offers on-screen display of 12 languages including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.

How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covered.

How do I buy an Extended Service Plan?
Extended Service Plans can be purchased along with your product online, or via our toll free number.

Can I renew my Consumer Priority Service extended service plan?
Yes, service plans are renewable and must be submitted 30 days prior to the original plans expiration. Please contact a sales representative to discuss your renewal options.

What should I do if I need extended service?
Our extended service providers offer an easy to use interactive form online which you may use to request that they initiate a claim on your product. Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. We believe that our claim initiation request process is the absolute best our industry has to offer. It is designed for simplicity and speed.

Who will perform the service on my product?
Our company works with over 11,000 authorized service professionals. Each technician is extensively trained by the respective manufacturers to provide service on your products. Authorized technicians must complete annual and bi-annual continued education exams in addition to being well versed in manufacturer supplied update bulletins to ensure their level of expertise is as current as the new products which come to market. We urge our customers to provide feedback regarding their experiences which we later use to insure that the level of service we are expected to provide is exactly the level of service you receive.

May I transfer my extended service plan to another person?
Our service plans are 100% transferable. If you would like transfer ownership of the covered product along with its coverage, we require that the request be supplied in writing. For assistance please contact a Representative. Please have all of the new owner's information at hand when requesting a transfer.

Will I have to pay a deductible or any other "hidden costs"?
Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
