If you're looking for a lot of projection power for a small space the Sanyo PDG-DXL2000 XGA Ultra Short-Throw Multimedia Projector may just be what you're looking for. With 2,000 ANSI lumens, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and a ten watt speaker it has the audio and video power for a wide variety of venues from a small office to a full auditorium. But fitting a big image into a tight spot is where it excels.

The PDG-DX2000 is what's called an "ultra short-throw" projector. That means it doesn't have to be far from a screen to project a large image. For example it can project an image 6.6' wide diagonally just 12.6" away from the screen.

It's useful in a broad array of situations because it's so versatile. It's got an HDMI input and it can accept and project 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition images. It can also handle PAL, SECAM, NTSC, NTSC4.43, PAL-M, and PAL-N signals. Along with its 100 - 240 V AC 50 / 60 Hz power supply there are few countries on earth where the PDG-DXL2000 can't do the job. It can also display closed captioning from programming sources that provide it, ensuring your whole audience will understand your presentation.

The projector's native resolution is XGA (1,024 by 768) but it can accept and scale signals at WUXGA, WXGA, UXGA, SXGA, SVGA and VGA resolutions.

Audio and video are top notch. If the 10W speaker isn't powerful enough to fill your viewing room with sound you can plug in powered speakers (not supplied) and control the volume from the remote control. (That's called variable audio out or VAO.)

The picture is formed by a Texas Instruments DLP DMD chip, which you'll find in many brands of projectors because it so well-respected. Most projector imaging systems create images from just the primary colors: red, green and blue. The DLP adds those colors' complements: cyan, magenta and yellow. Texas Instruments calls the system BrilliantColor and it increases the brightness of the colors by 50 percent over DLP systems that don't have it.

In a tiny room or a full auditorium, here in the US or around the world, projecting from video or computer sources, the PDG-DXL2000 is both powerful and versatile.

Ultra Short-Throw Projector
Projecting a large 6.6' diagonal image from the world's shortest projection distance of about 12.6" is achieved by a newly developed ultra short-focus mirror optical system. This projector is perfect for giving effective lectures or presentations in educational settings. This projector can be placed on a variety of locations including table tops, walls, ceilings, or floors.

Large Screen 3D Projection Capability
The "Frame Sequential Display Format", a technology that rapidly alternates between left-eye and right-eye images for 3D technology, enables the viewing of 3D images when wearing 3D glasses.
3D presentations in limited spaces are available, thanks to the 3D and short-focus projection technologies.
Corporate customers can use the new products for more realistic and effective presentations, such as 3D product presentations for sales pitches, or design evaluations.
In the entertainment market, the new projectors can be used in various new ways such as the projection of 3D games in an amusement arcade, or the display of a high-impact 3D dinosaur in a natural history museum.

NVIDIA 3D Vision
The PDG-DXL2000 is compatible with NVIDIA 3D VISION. NVIDIA 3D Vision PC supports over 400 existing PC games which keep increasing in number. You can easily experience the continued expansion of the 3D world with digital photographs, Blu-ray 3D movies, streamings and videos.

Networking Capability
The PDG-DXL2000 is equipped with Sanyo's exclusive PJ Network Interface for wired networking. This is a common feature among Sanyo's extensive line of commercial projectors. Networking allows the monitoring of projector functions and operation remotely via a web browser. Emails can be sent automatically to report operating status.

Compact Design for Saving Space in Installation
The use of a short-throw lens makes it possible to move the projector from the center of the classroom or meeting room, to a spot closer to the screen. This frees up more room space, and cuts down on the possibility of viewers blocking the image with their shadows.

Closed Captioning
Closed captioning provides the audio portion of a television signal as printed words on the projected screen. This feature is helpful for hearing impaired individuals and for those learning English as a second language. It's also perfect for noisy environments.

2,000 ANSI Lumens and a 2,000:1 Contrast Ratio
The PDG-DXL2000 projects an image bright enough to punch through the ambient light required to let your audience take notes.

Security Features
The Security Function helps you to ensure security of the projector. With the Key Lock Function, you can lock the operation on the top control or remote control. PIN Code Lock Function prevents unauthorized use of the projector.

LAN Network Function
This projector is loaded with the Wired Function. You can manage the projector via network. For details, refer to the owner's manual Network Setup and Operation section.

Direct Off Function
With the Direct Off Function, you can disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet or turn off the breaker even during projection.

Simple Computer System Setting
The projector has a multi-scan system to conform to almost all computer output signals quickly.

In addition to its 100 - 240 VAC 50 / 60Hz power supply the PDG-DXL2000's international credentials include its ability to handle NTSC, PAL, SECAM, NTSC4.43, PAL-M / PAL-N television signals. It can also play 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition signals. It can handle more than two dozen PC and Mac resolution / frequency sets.

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.

How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covered.

How do I buy an Extended Service Plan?
Extended Service Plans can be purchased along with your product online, or via our toll free number.

Can I renew my Consumer Priority Service extended service plan?
Yes, service plans are renewable and must be submitted 30 days prior to the original plans expiration. Please contact a sales representative to discuss your renewal options.

What should I do if I need extended service?
Our extended service providers offer an easy to use interactive form online which you may use to request that they initiate a claim on your product. Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. We believe that our claim initiation request process is the absolute best our industry has to offer. It is designed for simplicity and speed.

Who will perform the service on my product?
Our company works with over 11,000 authorized service professionals. Each technician is extensively trained by the respective manufacturers to provide service on your products. Authorized technicians must complete annual and bi-annual continued education exams in addition to being well versed in manufacturer supplied update bulletins to ensure their level of expertise is as current as the new products which come to market. We urge our customers to provide feedback regarding their experiences which we later use to insure that the level of service we are expected to provide is exactly the level of service you receive.

May I transfer my extended service plan to another person?
Our service plans are 100% transferable. If you would like transfer ownership of the covered product along with its coverage, we require that the request be supplied in writing. For assistance please contact a Representative. Please have all of the new owner's information at hand when requesting a transfer.

Will I have to pay a deductible or any other "hidden costs"?
Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
