It can accept and project signals in the NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-N, PAL-M, and SECAM video formats and it's compatible with 720p, 1035i and 1080i high definition signals. It's also compatible with dozens of PC and Mac resolution and vertical/horizontal sync frequencies.
Your WTC500AL saves on maintenance costs two ways. First, it uses one lamp and keeps another as an onboard spare. When the first lamp comes to the end of its service life, the projector can automatically replace it with the spare. Alternatively you can have the lamps switch every 24 hours. This method allows you to use the projector 24/7 as you might in advertising or information displays.
The second way your WTC500AL saves you maintenance costs and time is with its active maintenance filter. It takes a cartridge that has ten individual filters in it. You have to replace it only after it's been through ten filter changes.
That's the kind of innovative thinking you've come to expect from Sanyo. Take its remote control. It can also act as a pointer with three selectable pointer shapes (arrow, finger, dot) available. And the remote control can be used as a wireless mouse for your computer when the projector is connected to it with the supplied USB cable.
Of course with all of the program sources at your disposal these days, you might want to show images from two at a time. You can with the Picture in Picture and Picture by Picture functions.
5000 Lumens at a 3000:1 Contrast Ratio
That's plenty of projection power for presentations in a large classroom, lecture hall or meeting room or watching a DVD or Blu-ray disc in your media room, even with quite a bit of ambient light.
3LCD Projector Panels
3LCD technology delivers sharper and brighter images with superior grayscale detail. Smooth, seamless color combined with an unparalleled grayscale range delivers incredible detail to every image displayed by the PLC-WTC500AL. Grayscale is the shades of gray (from black to white) required for greater image depth and detail; it allows greater variation in shadows and brings superior accuracy to color, creating a jaw-dropping, true-to-life visual experience.
Pick The Optional Lens That's Just Right For Your Installation
The PLC-WTC500AL is sold without a lens so you can pick the one that best fits your unique needs. These include a standard lens, two short throw lenses and two long throw lenses:
Short Throw Lenses: LNS-W11 (0.8:1), LNS-W10 (1.2 – 1.6:1)
Standard Lens: LNS-S11 (1.6 – 2.1:1)
Long Throw Lenses: LNS-T10 (2.1 – 3.5:1), LNS-T11 (3.4 – 5.4:1)
Time and Effort Saver #1: Dual Lamp Design
The WTC500AL ships with two 330 Watt NSHA lamps that operate one at a time, with one as an installed spare. When the first lamp has come to the end of its useful life the projector can shift the remaining good lamp into place automatically. That's also your cue to buy two new lamps. When the second lamp goes, it's time to replace both lamps. Alternatively, you can have the lamps switch every 24 hours. With this option you can use the projector 24/7 for signage, advertising and information boards.
Time and Effort Saver #2: Automatic Filter Replacement
The AMF system detects air blockage or clogs and then scrolls the filter reel to the next clean filter. With ten filters included in every cartridge, maintenance and down time are dramatically reduced
Complies With World TV Standards and High Definition
The WTC500AL can handle programming in the NTSC (the North American standard), NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-N, PAL-M and SECAM standards and it's compatible with 720p, 1035i, 1080i high definition signals.
Multilanguage Menu Display
The OSD (on-screen display) is available in 12 languages; English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
Picture in Picture (P in P) and Picture by Picture (P by P) Functions
Your WTC500AL is capable of projecting two images simultaneously by using either the "P in P" or the "P by P" functions. These functions are useful in video conference and educational systems. See the WTC500AL owner's manual to determine which kinds of signals can be used in these modes.
Versatile Remote Control
Use the remote control as wired or wireless, or as a PC wireless mouse. Eight remote control codes ensure there's no interference between remotes. The remote can also act as a pointer with three selectable pointer shapes (arrow, finger, dot) available. The remote control can be used as a wireless mouse for your computer when the projector is connected to it with the supplied USB cable.
Multiple Security Measures
The Key Lock function locks the top control panel of the projector and the remote control buttons to prevent operation by unauthorized persons. You can set the PIN Code Lock to require entry every time the projector is used. You can also capture a logo or other image that projects at startup, identifying the projector. For physical security there's a slot for an optional Kensington security lock and loop for an optional security chain.
