The D509 is one of those projectors with a plethora of built-in security features. It includes a Kensington security lock, which is built into the projector to prevent theft or any unauthorized removal of the projector. It also includes a keypad lock that prevents accidental system adjustments. The unit sports a rapid on/off feature, so you do not have to wait too long for the beamer to start up or power down.

Other important features include a cost-efficient lamp life, a 2300:1 contrast ratio and 2600 lumens of superior brightness that provide excellent projection under any lighting conditions. This exceptionally high contrast ratio provides sharper, more detailed images with higher black levels. The ultra-portable lightweight beamer also offers enhanced wall color adjustment to compensate for the surface color of the projected image.

It also includes a 31dB/28dB (standard/economy mode) super-low fan noise and a built-in closed-caption decoder, which makes it an ideal teaching tool.
