Panasonic PTLW80NTU Description:

Designed for small to mid-sized meeting rooms and classrooms, the Panasonic PT-LW80NTU features maximum portability, advanced dust-resistant design, and built-in wireless connectivity capability that allows it to connect to multiple PCs without any cables . It delivers bright and smooth images with 2600 lumens, while Panasonics Daylight View 4 provides crisp images even in brightly lit conditions.

Equipped with wide-aspect (16:10 aspect ratio) LCD panels for reproduction of WXGA (1280 x 800) images, the PT-LW80NTU is the ideal solution for users who need a projector that can display wide-screen images from a DVD video source or wide-aspect computers.

Weighing only 6.5 lbs, other features include real-time keystone correction, quiet operation, 3-second speed start, direct power off, built-in closed-caption decoder, an array of inputs and outputs, anti-theft features, an easy-to-use remote control and much more.

Panasonic PTLW80NTU Features:

High Quality Projection

The PT-LW80NTU features Panasonics Daylight View 4 technology for clear, crisp images even in bright surroundings. Sharp edges are achieved with the "Edge Enhancer Control" and "Gamma Curve Control." Remarkable detail is provided and perceived brightness and contrast are enhanced, so images appear crisp, vivid, 3-dimensional and easy to see even in brightly lit rooms. Daylight View 4 also includes a built-in ambient light sensor that automatically detects room brightness and adjusts operation accordingly.
The PT-LW80NTU features wide-aspect LCD panels, which allow native reproduction of WXGA (1280 x 800) images from a computer. This provides a visually powerful display of wide-screen images from DVD sources, as well as wide-screen images from wide-aspect computers, which is already the mainstream.

Versatile Wireless Presentation

Wireless capability allows you to connect to a Windows or Mac PC without cables. That means its easy to bring in a laptop (with a wireless LAN function) and deliver a smooth, hassle-free presentation. Make the connection settings quickly and easily using the supplied Wireless Manager ME 5.0 software (Windows and Mac compatible). When the presentation is finished, the software restores the computer to its previous LAN settings, so its ready to reconnect to your LAN.
The PT-LW80NTU provide a host of convenient wireless functions, including Live mode and Multi-Live mode. In Live mode, the image projected is identical to the image seen on the PC screen. In Multi-Live mode, you can wirelessly connect with multiple PCs.
Other wireless functions include Wireless Prompter (Secondary Display Transmission), selective area transmission, and a 16-window index style that lets you project images from up to 16 PCs at the same time. Wireless transmission is possible from one PC to a maximum of eight projectors at a time.
By circling any area of the image, you can specify the necessary information to enlarge and display that area on the projection screen.
Projector Signal Map graphically shows the strength of wireless connection signals. This is convenient when several projectors are being used in adjacent school classrooms because it lets the user know which projector is to be used.

High Performance

For security, there is a host of anti-theft functions including a security anchor, user password protection, control panel lock-out, and text superimposing whereby a user can program a text line (such as your name or the warning of your choice) at the bottom of the projected image.
Index Window allows any image in a presentation (RGB or video input) to be frozen, stored in memory and displayed on the left side of the screen, while display of subsequent images continues on the right.
Blackboard mode allows you to project images onto an ordinary classroom or conference room blackboard.
Has a 3x digital zoom to highlight parts of the picture and sRGB compatibility to ensure uniform, accurate color reproduction with other sRGB-compatible imaging devices.

Designed for versatility, the projector comes equipped with a host of connection terminals. It features two computer inputs so there is no need to juggle and re-connect equipment when giving consecutive presentations from two different computers. The second RGB input can also serve as a loop-through monitoring terminal for the RGB 1 inputs, which is extremely beneficial for educational application.
Also offers composite and S-Video input with audio input, variable audio out and RS-232 interface. Variable audio output allows users to control the audio level right from the projector.

Dust-Resistant Structure

After a projector has been used for some time, dust particles that have entered the interior accumulate on the optical components and lower performance. The highly advanced dust-resistant design of the PT-LW80NTU minimizes image degradation and enables a clear and consistent picture even after extended use.
It has touch-sensor controls on the top panel that eliminate the gaps around conventional buttons and a lens cover. The design also incorporates a cover that protects the zoom/focus ring when not in use. Inside the projector, the airflow is efficiently controlled by a structure that reduces contact between external air and the optical components. This all works together with the cutting-edge Micro Cut Filter to minimize image degradation.

With a sleek and elegant appearance, the projector blends well with virtually any room interior, whether it is placed on a desktop or mounted on the ceiling.
Operating noise is a barely perceptible 29dB, which minimizes noise interruptions during meetings or lectures.
Projected images appear in about three seconds after you press the power button.
Connect a source and power-up. The projector automatically detects what kind of source is connected and begins projection.
The projector automatically senses if you adjust its angle (vertical direction) during operation and instantly makes whatever keystone correction is necessary for optimum viewing.
Direct Power Off function lets you disconnect the power cable and move the projector immediately. The cooling fan keeps operating until the lamp is cooled.
The projector can be permanently installed on the ceiling by using an optional ceiling mount bracket.
For easy maintenance, you can replace the lamp from the rear. The lamp is easily replaced even after the projector is installed on the ceiling.
Built-in Closed Caption (CC) decoder for the hard of hearing.
Selectable 17-language on-screen menu (includes English, French, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Russian, Chinese and Japanese).

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.

How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covered.

How do I buy an Extended Service Plan?
Extended Service Plans can be purchased along with your product online, or via our toll free number.

Can I renew my Consumer Priority Service extended service plan?
Yes, service plans are renewable and must be submitted 30 days prior to the original plans expiration. Please contact a sales representative to discuss your renewal options.

What should I do if I need extended service?
Our extended service providers offer an easy to use interactive form online which you may use to request that they initiate a claim on your product. Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. We believe that our claim initiation request process is the absolute best our industry has to offer. It is designed for simplicity and speed.

Who will perform the service on my product?
Our company works with over 11,000 authorized service professionals. Each technician is extensively trained by the respective manufacturers to provide service on your products. Authorized technicians must complete annual and bi-annual continued education exams in addition to being well versed in manufacturer supplied update bulletins to ensure their level of expertise is as current as the new products which come to market. We urge our customers to provide feedback regarding their experiences which we later use to insure that the level of service we are expected to provide is exactly the level of service you receive.

May I transfer my extended service plan to another person?
Our service plans are 100% transferable. If you would like transfer ownership of the covered product along with its coverage, we require that the request be supplied in writing. For assistance please contact a Representative. Please have all of the new owner's information at hand when requesting a transfer.

Will I have to pay a deductible or any other "hidden costs"?
Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
